Description: Unsurprisingly, as soon as the man puts his hands on his girlfriend, almost every stranger around them immediately jump in to defend the girl, absolutely appalled and angered by his actions.

When it's the other way around however, you won't believe what the passersby do while the girl beats on her man.

Our society is biased when it comes to men and women. Different rules apply to both men and women, making these 'rules' hypocritical and sexist in nature.

A man is abused by a woman every 37 seconds. Think about that disturbing fact as you watch this video:

Description: A turban is a few meters of a piece of cloth. But, for a Sikh, it is a crown.

These two Sikh men from Sangrur set aside religious code of conduct and took off their turban to save the lives of eight drowning youths who had gone to a canal for the immersion of the idol of lord Ganesha on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi.

The heroic act of Inderpal Singh, 34, and Kamalpreet Singh, 25, using their turbans to save the lives of eight drowning youths at Sullar Gharaat village in the district went viral on social media on Tuesday after a video of the two surfaced. However, the incident occurred on Friday evening. The religious code of conduct doesn't allow Sikhs to take off their turbans.
Inderpal and Kamalpreet were part of a group of devotees who had thronged Sullar Gharat village to immerse Ganesha idols in a canal. "First, five youths slipped into the canal while immersing the idols. They had fallen very near to the canal bridge and shouted for help. I immediately spotted a wire lying near the bridge and rescued two of them with the help of the wire. However, three others were still caught in a current," said Inderpal.

"Then, three persons jumped into the canal to rescue the trapped trio. However, they, too, were caught in a whirlpool. Then I threw my nine-metre-long turban into the canal and pulled out three youths," he added.
The footage of the rescue act appeared on social media after which the two were highly appreciated for what they had done. The rescued youths were identified as Inderpal Singh, Jiwan Singh, Kamalprit Singh and Inder Tiwari. Inderpal, one of the youth saved, said their saviour had first tried to pull them out with the help of a wire that was lying on embankment of the canal but it broke. He then used his turban.

Inderpal Singh's life-saving act was similar to an incident that had taken place in New Zealand in May this year when Harman Singh, 22, had used his turban to save the life of a boy who bled from the head after being hit by a car in Auckland.

The turban is one of five articles of faith worn by Sikhs and is regarded as a symbol of strength and honour. Sikhs remove their turbans only in the privacy of their homes as a matter of respect towards it. But when religious is set aside to save the lives of people, the faith in humanity is restored.

  • You will eat more

If you find it very hard to function without an air-conditioning at home, in the car, at work, or even on shopping- your body will find it even harder to adjust to the summer temperatures. If you have confused your brain with big changes of the temperature, it will compensate the change in unusual ways. There are higher chances that you wish to grab a salty, fatty or sweet snacks with high calorific value, which you would hardly need to eat when it`s very hot.

  • You will drink less water

In a cooled house you will have less need for fluids, and consequently, you will drink less water and other drinks which stimulate the detoxification of your body. It`s well known that the regular water consumption reduces hunger and also makes your face and body skin look beautiful.

  • You could fall sick

If you can`t live without air-conditioning, at least be careful with adjusting the temperature. The difference between your outside and inside temperature shouldn`t be higher than 5 degrees.

If your body is exposed to air-conditioning and afterwards you go out on hot asphalt, you might bring yourself to thermal shock which could lead to a cold or even more serious disease.

Description:

There is a fine line between what is morally right and wrong. Alimony is one such thing, that is constantly juggled around from one side to the other. While some agree with both and consider both right, some agree with either, some believe in the concept of neither.

In this video by Wtf India, a group of people were asked their opinion on whether or not alimony should be banned, the argument being that since dowry is illegal, shouldn't alimony be too, as it is form of encouraging gender inequality?

Description: How many of you have bought a bunch of bananas, ate a few, then ended up throwing the rest of them away because they turned black and soggy and nasty? It is not that you didn't want them, it's that you got too busy or you were the only one in the house eating them, or some other reason. You end up throwing them away and you have to spend more money to buy more bananas. It would be great if you could reverse the deteriorating process and get your bananas back.

Luckily, some person with some ingenuity figured out a way to do it. You need your bananas gone bad, a plastic bag (about gallon sized), and a small box or bag of rice. You also need one blow dryer. Does this sound crazy? It should, but this crazy actually works, at least according to the video above.

It is truly said that parents are next to God. They give us birth, brought us up and do everything which is good for us or to fulfill our demands, no matter how difficult things are for them to manage or whatever sacrifices they have to do for seeing a smile on our face…. No one can take their place and regardless of how much we do for them, we can never pay for what they have done and will do for us…. They are simply great and never let us know what all problems or pains they are going through neither make us realize their greatness or difficulties they have suffered for our bright future!!

But let me ask a simple question, seeking an honest reply from all readers; do children also treat parents the same way they have been treating us so far? We have even come across incidents where people leave their parents in their old age, the time when they actually need their kids a lot…. Can you imagine the height and intensity of their pain? Even then, they don’t curse their children and always wish for all good things only for them because they just can’t see their kids being troubled. But one thing is sure; you will get what you want. Everyone grows old one day and you’ll be treated the same way by your children as you do with your parents.

In this article, we present you the story of an ex- HAL employee, an engineer who has four kids, all well-settled but none of them is able to feed or take care of the 80 years old engineer and his 70+ years old wife, as submitted by Santhosh Nair.

“This is the story of an Old man (around 80 years old) who is an ex-HAL employee and also a part time Engineer in Bengaluru. He has 4 children (2 daughters and 2 sons) who are happily settled in Bengaluru. They are working as Inspectors, Engineers and IT professionals. This 80 year old man (Mr.Ramakutty) is in Bengaluru for the last 60 years, can speak and understand English, Tamil, Malayalam, Hindi and Kannada.

I met him near Chinmaya Hospital, Indira Nagar. He was trying to stop motorists for a drop to the Old Madras Road. I stopped. He sat on my bike holding my shoulder tight (tighter than my wife holds me when I zoom on my bike) He was heading to his rented home in Lingarajpuram where his 70+ year old wife stays.

She has been bedridden for years. I asked the old man why he was on the roads in this freezing weather. He said for a JOB! I was stunned to hear this from an 80 year old man, I asked, “Why?” He said ‘To feed himself and his wife.”

I immediately stopped my bike and asked if he had his lunch. He said NO. I took him to the nearest tea shop, bought him a cup of tea and snacks. I could see some energy building in the old man’s body after having the food and later he quietly said that he eats only once a day to save money. I asked him for his sons/daughters’ phone numbers which he hesitated to give. After 20 minutes I asked him once again before dropping him to ring road, he said “they will scold me”.

When I asked why they would scold him, he said that his children were “annoyed with me and my wife because I have not build them houses/bought anything till now”.

I was fortunate to meet him I feel. I gave my phone number to him and told him to call me if he needs anything. I’m posting for those great children who think that a house, cars or money is greater than parents!

MY HUMBLE REQUEST to all…Please take care of your parents, one day you will be parents too.”
