Former AKB48 member Akimoto Sayaka will cast a female firefighter at TBS upcoming TV drama "ORANGE" (ORANGE~1.17 命悬けで闘った消防士の魂の物语~), it will be broadcast at 19 January 2015 (21:00 to 23:09).
Story
The firefighters' daily struggles have been dramatized based on the original version of the play by the Kobe theatre group People Purple, played at the Orange theatre, under the direction of the group's scriptwriter Manabu Uda.

Background
Masaharu Fukuyama has also been covering the Kobe Earthquake in his own regular radio program every year. He has given immense support by attending the theatre Orange, where the original script for this drama is being played, and by featuring actors from the play in his regular radio program.
Theatre "Orange"
The play "Orange" was created based on data collected from over 100 firefighters who were directly involved in the rescue efforts of the Kobe Earthquake in 1995. Since the group's very first performance in 2004, there have been more and more performances showcased to the public, and in 2015, 20th anniversary of the disaster, the play will hold a national tour (nine locations) from 31 January 2015 to 8 March 2015.
