At 25 May 2014, AKB48 member Kawaei Rina, Iriyama Anna and a security staff were attacked by a man with a saw at a handshake event. Suspect Satoru Umeda is accused of assault and violation of gun blade law. The procurator demanded 7 years' imprisonment. Court decision will be made at 10 February 2015.
The procurator asserted suspect with "Plan murder without intend target, caused a tremendous shock to members" and "repeat unclear confession, suspect doesn't reflect".
Defense attorney stages suspect is inevitable, defended suspect's "unclear confession" due to mental disorder and lack communication ability, pleaded for extenuating circumstances.
